Owner, Mick Croudace, started in 2014 as a shopfitting and interior installation sub-contractor and has been growing Croudace Constructs in the interior construction market…
…for the last nine years. With a passion for creating amazing spaces with real purpose, Mick’s favourite job to date is the ‘Trees’ feature joinery project at Colonnades Shopping Centre. He’s driven, enthusiastic and motivated and when he’s not at work (which isn’t often) he enjoys barbequing with family and friends and keeping fit by walking his dalmatian, Margot.
“I am most proud of the team that we have put together and the company culture that has been created. From our experienced trades on site to our new apprentices in the workshop, everyone gels together to make a project happen all whilst enjoying their day’s work with a joke and a smile” – Mick Croudace.
Deen completed a trade certificate in 2003 with a small cabinet-making company producing custom products. Since then he has worked for many large and small kitchen companies…
…including DIY, large wholesale factories and more. His favourite job to date is Navco the Simrad stand with LED lights.
Deen recently completed his home renovation project and used his years of skills and expertise to create custom joinery pieces for his own home. When he’s not managing the joinery workshop with a smile on his face, he is spending time with his wife and two young children. Deen loves everything outdoors from camping to fishing and motorbike riding.
Formerly an electrician, Darren was poached by Mick after working together and began an apprenticeship in joinery soon after. Winning the WorldSkills Australia regional competition…
…for joinery, he is highly skilful but being the modest man he is, he wouldn’t tell you about it. He’s hardworking, committed and isn’t lacking character. Understandably he likes working at Croudace Constructs for the people but he also enjoys the high quality of work (especially using hardwoods), with the Crowne Plaza being his favourite project to date. When he’s not keeping the workshop in order or telling corny jokes, he enjoys cars, music and snowboarding around Australia and Europe.
Every office needs a Marcia. With qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping and conveyancing, Marcia came on board earlier this year to take control of Croudace’s administration department…
…Creative, compassionate and honest, Marcia enjoys the great mix of team culture at Croudace along with the diversity of projects. In particular she enjoyed helping our project manager on an exciting project for Beerenberg Farm – a worldwide, iconic South Australian business (who doesn’t know Beerenberg jam!). Away from the computer Marcia enjoys community gardening anything edible, mycology (exploring new edible fungi) and spending time with her fur-fam.

From idea to completion we can help you every step of the way. However, if you already have the designs we can complete the building section of works for you. We work with industry experts who can carry out design work…
…, council applications, building certification and of course building works. At this stage we will work with you to clarify the scope of works for your project.
Once we have a clear scope of works we can prepare a detailed quote. When we present the quote we can discuss the budget and adjust accordingly. We always strive to work with our clients to produce the finish they…
…want within the budget they have.
The fun begins. The construction length will vary depending on how big the scope of works is and how varied it is. Any specialty works will extend the deadline but the normal project length is between four and eight weeks.
We do what we can to ensure the projects run on time and hand over projects early if possible.
When the project is nearly complete we will invite you to a pre handover inspection. This gives you the chance to have a good look through the newly reformed site and highlight any areas of concern or any additional works that you would like…
…completed before we officially handover.
Before handover we carry out a ‘defect inspection’ where our project manager and foreman meet on site to mark any works that aren’t meeting the high standard we expect. We then compile a short list of defects and call back the relevant trade to complete these works. This ensures that when we handover we are 100% happy with the final product.
We finalise the council paperwork and certifications and issue you with a certificate of occupancy for the building. You can now take over the building from us and move in. After 30 days of occupancy we will follow you up to see if there are…
…any areas that need attention. Within five working days we will attend to any items that require fixing.
