Cruise and Maritime Voyages are one of Australia’s leading independent cruise lines. At the time of contact they were based in Sydney and looking to relocate their office to Adelaide. They had been in touch with one Adelaide contractor, but their design was above their budget and out of reach. They were looking for a company who could create a modern, sleek corporate CMV office fit out within their budget constraints.
When we first saw the draft design of the office, we highlighted areas that could potentially save on cost and how much each item would affect the budget. We reworked the design to include more open space, reducing the cost of walls and reducing the amount of glazing. We swapped materials for more cost-effective options and worked with the service trades for more cost compatible fixtures and fittings.
We then looked at the project timeline and reduced it to reduce the site overheads. This brought the job back on budget and turned our client’s relocation into a reality.
The result was exactly what the client was looking for. A corporate office with a modern feel. The glass fronted board room, complete with a timber feature wall and pendant lighting, was a talking point. And most importantly the team that arrived from Sydney loved their new space.
